Integrations learning Academy
Changing the Leadership Development Algorithm for African American Women
The Integrations Learning Academy (ILA) has been setup as the hub for training for the SB Integrations firm. Many of the different types of training that have been designed can be accessed through the ILA’s platform. The focus of our training hub is the development of the whole woman, so we utilize the SBI Leader Development Model to creatively design and develop learning experiences that meet each woman where she is on her leadership journey. Learning experiences are delivered through various modalities, or methods, (i.e., self-paced courses, cluster learnings, learning workshops, and micro-learnings) which allow each woman to move at a pace that works best for her while keeping track of her progress and planning her next development moves. We will continue to design new learning and use various delivery methods that meet the leaders where they are. Our goal is to promote leader development planning and to encourage women to be fully in charge of their process and journey even before they begin any course or program. We walk them through our development model and ensure they are able to utilize it as a tool for their own planning and immediate use.
It is our belief that when there is equitable access to relevant development opportunities and a safe environment in which to participate, knowledge can be retained and learning can happen through experience. We understand that for some there is a barrier to access key learning and knowledge when it is needed, but we also understand that there are women who have been designed to lead in specific spheres of influence. We have been established for them. Our holistic approach to women’s leadership development is to ensure that women who have been designed to lead are able to lead in the workplace, the community, the home, and in business.
What You will Find in the Academy
Micro-Learnings are short, snippets of learning that highlight key elements of a topic or skill development.
Self-pace courses are those that are completed at an individual pace rather than a set timeframe that everyone must follow. The I.L.A. has self-pace courses as well as timed programs where timeframes have been set for everyone.
Cluster learnings are bundled learnings of related topics grouped together under an overarching competency skill theme. These learnings are delivered in multi-modalities, or delivery methods, with the goals of bringing about behavior change and the adoption of new relevant concepts.
The live, hands-on learning workshops are online trainings that allow participants to put into action new concepts presented during the training and which gives the opportunity for collaboration and sharing in a group environment.
The signature programs are those staple programs built around the SBI Leader Development Model in which our four pillars – Leading Self, Leading Others, Leading in Community, and Leading in Business – are incorporated into all learnings and courses.
